A BRIEF HISTORY OF BATMAN AND SUPERMAN IN FILM MUSIC PT. 1

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             ____

THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Score Review

Check it out... if you have been disappointed with the lack of continuity in regards to prior Marvel scores, as Tyler and Elfman manage to finally collate a respectable quantity of individual thematic premises together for an action score that achieves everything it desires

Skip it... if Tyler's usual propensity towards over-utilisation and mixing of brass elements does not bode well with, the composer's writing often heavily accentuating the horns over the rest of the mix at various points

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY Score Review

Check it out... if you seek a film score which presents classical composition methodology in a scoring setting to a somewhat positive effect, or are so infatuated with the literary or cinematic presentations that you're willing to check out and purchase anything to do with either of them

Skip it... if you require even a moderate semblance of uniqueness to your Danny Elfman works, his output here so insanely reminiscent of other composer's work that it feels less like Elfman and more like a hybrid of Korzeniowski, Thomas Newman and Giacchino (Pixar mode) at their individual, least inspired states

BIG EYES Score Review

Check it out... if you're interested in the light and harmless lesser efforts of a composer like Thomas Newman, or wish to see a quieter, less inventive side of Danny Elfman

Skip it... if you wish to see something new from Elfman and Burton, and don't wish to endure a derivative, boring and lackluster album that contains nothing of real note
