Maleficent Score Review

Check it out... if you yearn for a James Newton Howard release which boasts the orchestral grandeur and textural complexity that such projects as Lady In The Water managed to achieve.

Skip it... if you'd much rather hear the synthetic droning that we were exposed to within Catching Fire, that doesn't harbour near as much creative ingenuity as this here project.

Godzilla (2014) Film Review

Check it out... if you wish to wash the sour taste of Roland Emmerich's 1998 disaster with something that takes minimal liberties, provides solid main characters, and an utterly awesome Godzilla!

Skip it... if you're sick of suspense-filled kaiju films like Cloverfield, and want your monsters served on a platter as quickly as possible, for Godzilla takes it's own merry time.

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Score Review

Check it out... if Fellowship of the Ring's outstanding choral work and glorious themes proved one of the highlights of 2001 for yourself, and you wish to see a darker and more brooding score than the prior installment into the franchise

Skip it... if your ears do not hunger for sensational orchestral bliss, gifted by the talented Howard Shore, who has provided here one of his most credible scores

Neighbors (2014) Film Review

Check it out... if you have enjoyed prior Seth Rogan comedies, and look forward to seeing another of his films, filled with much of the same raunchy comedy that we've seen before

Skip it... if you want a steady and flowing plot with logic and reality infused, for this is not the case for Neighbors.

Child of Light Video Game Score Review

Check it out... if shamelessly simple concepts stand well with you, for this is an easy, straightforward listening experience for anyone

Skip it... if you desperately crave something with less predictable outcomes, for Child of Light is as predictable as it comes

X-Men: Days of Future Past Score Review

Check it out... if 18 minutes of brilliant music towards the end of the album sounds like a good deal to you; though that's only 18 brilliant minutes in an hour and 16 minute long album

Skip it... if you expect Ottman to maintain his usually flawless style; flourishing themes, exciting and thrilling orchestral music, and action cues that have your heart pumping; because he trades all those trademarks in for ostinatos and unnecessary sound effects, with only a single remarkable theme left to him.

Game of Thrones: Season 4, Episode 7 "Mockingbird" Review

Positives this week included... Tyrion's arrangement of scenes, Dany's steamy scene with Daario, Arya and The Hound's monologues, Jorah getting cock blocked, Hot Pie, Jon not earning respect from Thorne, The Eyrie's shocking moments

Negatives this week included... Cersei and The Mountain's cliched villain moment, Selyse and Melisandre's unnecessary scene

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - Freedom Cry Video Game Score Review

Check it out... if Brian Tyler's score simply didn't serve up enough complex, thematically appropriate material for your taste, and you want to find some thoroughly involved pirate music.

Skip it... if Deriviere's effort for Remember Me didn't impress you in the slightest, despite it's complex ingenuity, or the lack of memorable themes presented here doesn't have you excited.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) Film Review

Check it out... if you appreciated 2012's reboot of the character, and enjoyed Mark Webb's direction, because this film's result is dictated by that same dictation.

Skip it... if you didn't enjoy the latest reboot and where it took the franchise, and didn't appreciate the chemistry between our mains Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, because their chemistry does make or break the film.

Titanfall Score Review

Check it out... if startling good orchestral composition, as well as blatant sense of fun allows you to move past the sometimes irritating electronica elements.

Skip it... if repetitive electronica never bodes well with you, despite the fact that it's used in it's most inventive, impressive capacities possible.

Godzilla Score Review

Check it out... If nostalgic throwbacks are always a delight for you, and good composition, and incredibly satisfying and powerful thematic material matter, in your mind.

Skip it... If you've never been a fan of Alexandre Desplat, or don't enjoy his heavy use of bass in particular, as it's on show quite often here.

"If You Wait" Album Review

Check it out... if you crave a modern album with lyrical intelligence, soothing and dramatic instrumentation, and absolutely blissful vocals, that will remind you of great bands like Coldplay and U2

Skip it... if you'd rather stick to mindless modern club music and EDM, instead of embracing what should be the future of pop.
